2nd Annual New England Diabetes Meetup

Please mark this date in your calendar for the
2nd Annual New England Diabetes Meetup.

We had a lot of fun at the first and we hope you can make it to the 2nd one. Please note that I've changed the date to the first Saturday in August, I hope that you can make it.

Once again the picnic will be at Beaverbrook Reservation in Waltham. This is a great place for a relaxing afternoon with friends. Bring your own food and drink (no alcohol allowed in Beaverbrook). We'll have a canopy setup in case it gets wet.

There's a small parking lot across from 522 Waverley Oaks Rd. Park there and follow the footpath down to a wide grassy area. If you look straight across you'll see us there at some picnic tables near the brook.

There's a splash pool nearby for smaller kids, so make sure they're wearing clothes that can get wet!

I will probably be a little late but I plan on riding my bike over to meet all of you. I'm really excited since I don't have many diabetic friends!

I won't be able to make it - had hoped it would combine with a business trip - but that's been pushed to later next month. The weather is looking good here for my neck of the woods - so hopefully it's the same for you (I would so love to have joined the kids in the splash pool - or our BIG kids not allowed ?).

Colleen I'm sorry we won't see you. Maybe we'll just organize a quick meetup in Nashua? After all we can't keep all the fun south of the border. I'll be sure to post photos after.

I was hoping Frank and I might be able to make it up this year, but too many high-priority tasks right now. Maybe next year...

Bernard, We aren't going to make it this year (and will miss being there - last year was my FIRST diabetes meet-up!) due to being in the midst of selling my dad's house and relocating all the stuff in the house. I hope someone will take photos and tell everyone I said, "Hi!"
