Drawing Diabetes 2009

If you would like to participate, and haven't posted high resolution, good quality images, please do so by following these instructions. All images submitted in this group will have the chance to join the Pre-existing Condition: a traveling art show to benefit Type One Diabetes research

Zoey and Dereck kindly offered to print some of the best images of our group and display them with the rest of the artwork shown at the shows. This is a great opportunity to let the world know the story we are telling, generate more awareness about DHF and TuDiabetes. PLUS we are teaming up with great artists to raise money for research.

What a great way to get children involved and draw awareness to juvenile diabetes, one of the fastest rising types according to the Gerald J. Friedman Diabetes Institute in NYC.

Thank you Susan, this means we fulfilled our goal. Please post the drawings in this group so we can all keep learning from our children! :)

Thanks for the video. I sent it to friends to give them a better understanding of what we go through. I cry every time I see it. Tomorrow our family is going to sit down and draw!

we arrange group gathering for mothers and diabetic children who sit drawing their feelings about diabetes, now they, especially girls are writing their feelings about life on large in memoirs and some write poems
through art many are encouraged to pour their frustration about any thing in paiting, drawing or writing.
our aim to publish a book to be sold for the sake of diabetics in need in our country

Thanks and Congratulation to all the children that participated on this wonderful awareness initiative, and made this video possible!
We tried to include as many drawings as we could, unfortunately, time is critical on video.

The good news is that this group is the perfect platform to share your drawings. stories and more.

Thank you again, We hope you enjoy it!
