Sorry Kelly about the misinformation I gave yesterday. I use BD lancets and novofine pen needles and an Autopen for the Lantus. I checked when I got home as I use a library computer. Carol

Hello. I recently joined TuDiabetes and I use 2 pens. I use a novopen jr. for the novorapid-so I can do 1/2 unit doses and a different one (I can't remember the brand-I'm on a library computer its turquoise, fo the lantus. And yes to Kelly, you can use BD needles for the novo pens, I do. I use the smallest I can get. Carol

Hello! I just joined tudiabetes and I am a pen user. I use a HumaPen Luxura HD and it works great for me because it let's me dose in 1/2 units of insulin! I use it for fast acting Humalog. Now that the summer months are here I need to call my Endo and ask if I need to keep the pen cold....she said it was OK at room temp. when I got it in March.....Looking forward to learning more here.

Do BD pen needles fit a Novopen or Novopen JR? Anyone know? I have a call into BD and to our nurse. Thx

I started using the Opticlik pen on April 2nd. I keep it in a carrier that has a pouch for a frozen cold pak but haven't added the frozen pak yet. It really gets hot here in Florida in the warm months. I have a small hard case cooler in my truck for hot days and transporting my Apidra home from the pharmacy.
