Janice,

I don't think that's intended... I would contact Insulet. For what it's worth, I just got a new shipment about 2 weeks ago and those bods don't beep with basal delivery.

Just a curious question. I recently opened a box of pods from my latest 3 month supply. The first 2 pods have beeped every time they delivered my basal insulin. I've been used to that one little click. Is this something new...as it is much louder than the subtle click??

From the user guide:

Meter Error 1
1) blood sample is too small, 2) problem with the test strip, 3) problem with the meter, 4) very low BG (less than 20 mg/dL)

If you weren't feeling low, the problem was most likely that you didn't have enough blood or were attempting to use a used strip (it can be hard to tell).

Tiffany - That makes so much more sense to me. I'm so glad it worked out. It's unfortunate we can't always get the right answers the first time around, but I'm glad you ultimately got a reasonable response.

I had Aetna when I tried getting a CGM and they were not good. I had to put up a fight with a ton of paperwork and it seemed like months before they accepted anything. My insurance broker was my best resource. I now have Blue Shield and got my Omnipod with it... They seem MUCH better. I guess just prepare yourself for a lot of paperwork! I hope it goes through for you.

does anyone on here have aetna insurance, and getting the omnipod. Im looking to get it soon and need some help on what to expect of questions or anything?

thanks again ladies i called janet and she was very helpful and is overnighting a new pdm we will have it tommorow. I am so glad i found people who can help me out with this stuff. I am a single mom and sometimes it just fells like noone else understands any of the struggles that sometimes come with this dieases
