I have had good days and bad days. Overall, I think that I have pretty good control, making my obsession. However, things did become rather irratic after starting nursing school full-time. I think that some of us are more responsive to the hormones and fluctuations produced by stress than others. I have made an effort to help teach fellow nursing students as much as I can about Type 1 diabetes from a hands-on experience. The last thing we need is more healthcare providers who think it is simply a matter of good behavior, right? There are so many factors that can contribute to fluctuations, and stress is mine! School is one of the most stressfule tjhings I have ever done, and studying and 4am, and of course Pad Thai, never could eat that even though I love it.
