I started NPH insulin two weeks ago and used glipizide for a month until I figured out how har it was on me. Anyway, I was thinking about how I feel now as apposed to being on glipizide and just metformin, and I realized I have not had a single muscle cramp since starting NPH......
For decades, I experienced severe cramps in my thighs, calves, and rib cage usually in the evening/night time, but subject to occur ant any time. Also, I am clear headed more energetic and generally feel better since starting the insulin.
I am curious. Has anyone else experienced an unexpected benefit from insulin?
