More about the pump

Hi ok so starting of wats in the main menu on the pump please remeber that the pump is not a toy and there are no games on it either. And a good thing about it is that the pump is actually helmet proof because one time this girl was playing basketball and the basketball hit the pump hard and no scraches at all. So anyways on the main menu u have Bolus which is when u will only have Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner, or a snack. If ur hungry and even though ur sugar is high or low u can still eat something and just enter ur sugar and enter the carbs then ur done. But the pump doesnt really tell u wat ur exact sugar is so wen ur gonna eat something check ur sugar on the meter. Then u have Suspend which u only do that if ur sugar is about 45 or lower and u have to suspend (Stop/Pause) then the little bits of insulin that go in u through out the day. Then u have Sensor with is the little white thing that tells wat ur sugar is. To be continued.......

Next... I have a little girl who is 7yrs old and not real sure if she wants to pump or not... she is kind of afraid of getting all caught up in the tubing plus she really doen't want to have to pull out her pump all the time for meals or a bolus -- We had talked about a pump with a remote but still not sure of what kids really think about being attached ...

Since you are a girl who looks like you have a lot of fun... can you tell me the best and worst things about having a pump ??? My daughter swims a lot and although the pump she is looking at is water proof... she is like "where am I going to put it?" where do you stash your pump when you go swimming ???

Comment by Alexis on May 21, 2008 at 9:41pm: Hey me again and if u get a certain sugar tester it can automatically link your sugar to the pump so u know ur fingers wont hurt and there is also a new pump where u can actually send a text messege to your parents or someone that needs to know wat ur sugar is and it will send ur sugar to ur mom or dad or any1 else its kool i dont have it yet but i hope i will get it becuase i really want to get it because i really think its kool lol and even if im a kid doesnt mean i dont know anything about the pump i kno everything there is to know about the pump so u can really ask me anyyy question you have
