Hey everyone,
I was just wondering is there anyone that lives in Cheltenham or surrounding areas like Tewkesbury or Gloucester? If you do drop me a message!

Becca =)

Hi Stuart - hurrah, another late starter. I was 28 when diagnosed and am now 32 - I thought I was a rarity being so ancient at diagnosis.

There's a lot of useful stuff and support out there on the intermaweb - as always some of it it completely insane and needs to be taken with a barrel-full of salt - but sift through the rubbish and you'll find a lot of help. This place is very helpful, Diabetes UK can be helpful and, dare I say it, my blog at www.shootuporputup.co.uk has a lot of my experiences of being late to the party; along with my co-writer's experiences of being diagnosed back in the mists of time.

Anyway, chin up - it takes ages to get it right but it will get better as you learn more and more about our condition :-D

Peter, I found Diabetes Support Forum and they are great but the site is not as flashy as tudiabetes. Is that the one to which you refer?

Hi, Andy, i am in same position, so welcome here, there is also diabetes forum which seems to be a little more active than here. Take your pick, regards, peter

Gidday all, I'm here in the UK so I have joined the group. I do live in a lovely part of the county and I have access to an ace PCT that supports me with test strips even though I'm T2.

Hello all! I'm posting to tell you about our new diabetes blog - http://www.shootuporputup.co.uk. Unlike quite a few diabetes-related blogs it's British (no converting mg % to mmol/l) and it's written by two people with Type One - one diagnosed in the dawn of time and the other within the last few years. You may love it, you may hate it - but I thought I'd let you all know :-)

Hello!

I currently study in Scotland (first year) and was diagnosed with diabetes this month. It would be great to meet other people who are affected by that :-)
