Hi, I'm from the Minneapolis area, Plymouth to be exact. I'm type 1 since 91, and I'm scheduled to start on my first pump in the next few weeks. I've already found a lot of very helpful information on the site and very much appreciate having access to such a great resource.

Hi everyone....I am from Appleton type 2 now for aprox 14 yrs and on oral meds. I can't remember exactly when I was diagnosed...lol I am 48 and have been married 9 years to a wonderful man, he is 9 yrs younger than me and we met online in a chat room. We are into online gaming and currently play world of warcraft. No kids but one sassy cat named Lily.

Replying to Paula Bradley -

I was just put on Coumadin in June because they found a blood clot on my lung. They keep changing my dosage too. My hematologist said the clot will dissolve. The Coumodin is to prevent other blood clots from forming. I'll be on it for atleast 6 months. I have a blood disorder too so I gotta be extra careful of bleeding and bruising. I'm trying to get into an anti-coagulation clinic because my veins are real tiny and they're hard to draw from. At the clinic day can do a finger stick.
