Need some computer guidance

It's been a frustrating night. I have computer issues and can't figure them out. My picture slideshow and my music player all of a sudden decided to disappear leaving a white box with a tiny logo in the top corner. Others I have talked to can still see my pics and the music player but i can no longer. I don't know what the problem is.
Tried reinstalling the music player and that didn't help. Then I deleted thins I didn't mean to and am struggling to get it back. I'm afraid to mess with the pics… Continue

I'll start over tomorrow !!!

My son Pete came home and I really haved missed him. He wanted to go out for dinner and so we did. His favorite dinner ..... The Outback's Alice Springs Chicken. I didn't count calories, carbs or worry about sugar. I had the Alice Springs Chicken quesadillas, that yummy warm bread, a blue cheese pecan chopped salad and ...... a Gold Coast Margarita. We did skip dessert : ) Don't know what my sugar will be tomorrow but it was a wonderful dinner with my son and husband.

Just wish I could find answers.

I have been struggling for the last year or so with a treatment plan that just doesn't show any changes. I started on Byetta 10mcg about a year ago along with 500mg of Metformin bid and 2 mg Amaryl bid. My A1C came down 0.2 (WOW) now its 6.1. My sugars range from 115-180. Have not lost any weight with the Byetta.

Have had alot of stress with my husband's company making big paycuts vs layoffs and our new insurance this year is really bad and we pay alot out of pocket, so in turn we hold off goin… Continue

It was a pleasure. I really enjoyed hanging out. I'm sure we can rally everyone for an evening out. The Eagles are horrible. I have no idea why they will not run the ball. These defenses dont even defend against the run so they drop 6 0r 7 guys back and make mc nabb look that much worse. IMO (lol) Weaver and Mc COy are doin a great job this year and Reid needs to use them more. I think we should trade Reid lol

Hi Joanne,

Thanks for your comment. It's encouraging to know it's possible. :)

Re. computer woes, are you talking about the widgets on your page? It sounds like the page may not be loading completely (happens if your network connection gets overworked or prioritised) or the widget is being blocked due to a software issue.

I guess I didn't sign off last time and it looked like I was on the site for a whole week that I wasn't. I've been too depressed to care much about things. I really, really, really do want out of here!! The aides have been on a campaign to drive me crazy. I'll tell you about my little "walk out" of the dining room at a later time. Right now, I just don't want to talk too much about it!

My bday is coming up and I'm not going to be home for it. I won't even be home for Christmas! The derma grafts are starting to work out now. They've noticed some cell growth on the edges of the big wound on the left foot. Right foot is slowly closing in!

Gotta speed up now. Too many messages to answer in full for now!

Love ya!

Lois

Joanne, thanks for thinking of me. I've been a little depressed with my hand, and some bad sites for my infusion sets lately.

My sister-in-law is President of the Tri-Boro Animal Welfare in Butler, NJ. She is so desperate to find homes for some kittens right now. Take a look - here - and forward to anyone you know who might be interested. these boys look so cute, and she says they are super friendly.

Oh Joanne, I know all to well about the plastic bag and animal dangers. I have told this owner so many times.....the things this dogs gets into on an almost daily basis is amazing. He loves to eat the tubes of polysporin that she leaves around. He has done it 4 times. Last time he got a part of the tube caught around one of his teeth. Now that was fun getting it off his tooth. Can not wait to see what all the dogs and cats are up to tomorrow... :-) never a dull moment that is for sure! I am doing my best to arrange my schedule to go to Philly this Sat. Can't wait to see you!

Hey Joanne!!! How are you doing? All sorts of puppy antics going on down here. Today one of the puppies I care for decided to dig up some plants and bring them inside.....boy was there one big mess to clean up when I arrived at their house. The other puppy is using me for a chew toy.....the "no bite" command is not working to well lately. One of the cats I care for threw up on me today.....another dog I care for decided to shred all the plastic bags that the owner left around the house. It has been one of those days that when people say "Oh, I would love to do what you do" I say really...let me tell you....

Thanks for the heads up on Byetta....I will definitely make a note of that when I report my results. You must be so proud of your children....such accomplishments! I have a bachelors in Biology/Chemistry and an MS in Pharmacy....no PharmD, but I will have a PhD in Pharmacy so that I can teach PharmD's.

Thanks for the welcome Joanne. I appreciate it! I really enjoyed reading your posts (well, not the ones about your struggles). It is amazing to see how many other members you have touched by your thoughtfulness. You are one of the reasons that I am conducting the research that I am! Hopefully I will get more tudiabetes members to take my survey and share their thoughts about the group and how it helps them to manage their diabetes. Keep up the positive attitude!! Love your music selection by the way :)
