Karla, thanks for the note! I've had some serious stress too and am fearful of the A1C but it wasn't so bad.... just realize you are doing the best you can every day and be sure to give yourself a pat on the back!!
hi karla,
my soon to be doctor sent me this web page to check out, for both gastric bypass and lapband surgery. it's the internet web site for the American
Society of Bariatric Surgery. www.asbs.org. then the site that makes the lapband is www.inamed.com. it takes awhile to read and getting through some of the medical stuff was somewhat of a stretch for me. it's scary stuff, that's for sure. for me though, i think it's something i have to do. i hope it answers some of your questions that maybe didn't get answered at that seminar with your sister.
thanks karla,
i'm in the middle of filling out the paperwork now. i have to write a letter on why i want the bypass and what i expect from it. that's easy....i really would rather not do it and i wants to be thin and beautiful. but realistically....i want to be able to run and play with my grandkids. so i have to stay alive and lose weight. i can live without the beautiful part as long as i'm happy and healthy. i'll let you know if i get excepted and what happens.
Greetings Karla, from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada...saw your cute cat & thought...that's it, I'm posting mine also...( a soon to be 14 y.o. Tabby, and a true sucky, but with a stubborn streak :) Take care...linda.
Karla, love the kitty pic. Being a 6'5" and 245 pound man, I am partial to cats. I can not live without my 2. Guess it is my turn to post pics of them. Have a great day and know we are behind helping all the way.,,Jeff
There's a picture of the kitty now ; ) Her name is Miss Blues due to her beautiful eyes and also a name of an old rag time song. (play on words from her breed name). She's a great cat. Gets along with dogs and cats (when he's not punking her :) She is definately a princess, diva attitude. We don't have to brush her often, but she loves it when we do. We keep her indoors, but she likes to roam outside. We actually had a neighbor catnap her for a week. That was scary! She's too pretty or atleast pretty expensive looking to be left outside overnight we found out. We only paid $50 for her though. Good deal! She's a sweet thing though.
