Hi Linda, I read in your comment to Kitty that you have some allergies related to insulin. What reactions do you get? I suspect that I'm allergic to Mixtard. My finger joints ache terribly, but the pains disappeared when I stopped Mixtard.

WOW, haven't I been a wonderful friend! Sorry it has taken so long to get in contact, life has been insanely cluttered as of late. What is the good word with you? I have been steadily bringing my A1Cs down and preparing the house for a new arrival (a little baby girl that should be here in March). I have been contemplating giving DD another try, but every time I go there I am, well turned off, to much whining. any way, please get in touch I would love to catch up :D

Hi Linda: Thanks for reaching out to me. This is all still quite new for me. I just know, that, after 2 years of diabetes, I want to become more connected with others who live with it. I also, would like to reach out and get active with different organizations and support groups. Now that another member, Kevin, wants to organize a get-together in my Chicago area, I really am excited about this whole network.

You have been living with diabetes for quite a long time. That alone, is a positive sign for me. I never thought I would end up with it. I did have gestational diabetes, however. Even still, I never thought it would happen to me. Funny, how we always think that everything happens to someone else. God has really given me this wake-up-call. I believe it is to help me change my lifestyle and that of my kids, so that their little bodies can have the advantages of healthy eating that I didn't receive while growing up. I may have some questions for you in the future, considering that I am T 1.5 and it seems that I may eventually become insulin dependent. I noticed that you are in the group for diabetics with eye problems. What sort of problems do you have. I have noticed that my eyesight has slowly gotten worse since I was diagnosed. My eye doctor says that everything looks "good", though. Have a great week!

Hey, I'm curious about the omnipod. I have looked it up and it seems to be big. Do you find it hard to hide it. I wear the minmed and I stick it where ever...it looks like a pager so nobody really notices it. I see lot's of people on this site that wear omnipod's. I remember seeing the guy from the Jonas Brothers on Ellen and he showed his omnipod and he had it on his upper arm. It just looked awkward to me. Just curious...you never now when I might change.
