Let's do lunch!

Hi Everyone, This is in response to a need to meet up via short comments to give a long distance hug or in some way lighten the burden of someones load. For some of us; it is a health issue of a family member or one of our own needs. For some it is military deployment of a loved one. Or, financial burdens or insurance hassles and we need a spot to vent and just "share" the common frustration of it all. To this, Let's start our "Do Lunch" for 2009. Let's encourage each other as we open our hearts… Continue

ok I got my scare and it's not time for "Trick or Treats!"

I've been slowly going thru my supply of needles... not taking shots if my number was close enough to skip it. Finances really work wonders on skipping shots! My numbers got a bit up before I went to court so I figured I needed to take the shot even if we really cant afford this "D" I got shaky, dizzy and generally felt horrible. I know I was careful to measure my dose! That was scary. I didn't exactly think about the recall. My boxes are totally different lot numbers. Three highs later and thre… Continue

I'm bored.with "D."

I haven't been at this "D" for long. I'm already bored with my choices for meals.Does anyone else get bored with food choices? I do know that I like to have fairly even carb/protein meal for breakfast. Lately, I've wished that I could just have a quick drink of "something" and be done with thinking about it. I confess to wishing for a coffee drink or sometimes a cold drink (like a shake) When I want a shake; I make a fresh smoothie. I've no idea how to make a balanced, breakfast "meal" kind of h… Continue

Disgruntled Momma!!! GRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I'm mad! Just before dinner I get a call from my sons' psych. He says " Because we (counselor and he) disagree with the fact that the judge returned your son to you; we no longer feel that we can provide counsel and medicine for your family. You need to find another dr and counselor." GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! The way things are now; medicaid stinks!!!! How in the world do we find a Dr and counselor in the same office to deal with two children that need constant medical upkeep in psychotic… Continue

Celebration Time!!!!!

If you've been following my dilema for the past 6 months.... We went to court this morning... The judge threw the case out! I got my son home today!!!!! I"m such a happy momma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank God for His opening they eyes and ears of the judge. He is so awesome how He takes care of us:) I would still appreciate your prayers as we readjust my son to home life. We will need to find new counselors and Dr as I'm sure that since they were the ones to make the accusations... It wont look goo… Continue

Hmm.... new breakfast ideas -- no/low carb, hot protein drinks - a friend of mine has a shake that tastes like milk. I think it's 0 carb and total organic protein. Let me see if I can get him to give me the name of it. Does it have to be 'hot'?

Thank you for the welcome. When he was diagnosed we weren't given any information. I'm having to learn everything pretty much by reading and the internet.

So right now I feel pretty lost.

sorry meadowlark,
that was just my quriky sense of humor there. i was refering to an old joke about dogs loving to bite the postal carrier. so when you said you hit the mailperson i just wanted to make you laugh a little. not that's it's ok to hit the mail person, just for you to see the funny side for a moment. the joke being if you hit the mailperson, the dogs who like to bite the mailperson would think you were their hero. again i'm sorry. you just seem so down and for a zillion good reasons. i hurt for you. i hope you are feeling better. no one deserves as much bad luck as you have had lately. it's gotta turn around pretty soon.

Hello MeadowLark,
just found your page today. I home-schooled my three older children. They all graduated from our school. The two girls have master degrees (one at 22 and the other at 24). My son is still searching. I have another girl at home (adopted) but I can't home-school her as she is autistic and needs to be around as many other children as possible. I relate to what you said about bickering kids. I use to escape to the bathtub, bubbles and a book. I loved homeschooling it was so much fun...I miss it with all my heart. I'm sorry you're having a rough patch...this too will pass. Put on some soothing music, make a list of all your blessings and take a walk and look at Gods beautiful creation. That always helps me. I would love to hear from you

Dealing with issues that have affected our lives in really crappy ways. Stress will be up til court is over on the 1st of May. sigh.... Thankyou for being a Mom. I need a few;) Aunts,Uncles too!
