Buy a tubeguard. I use it all the time. Some things are worth the extra research :)

Tamiflu is evil. I had to take the Tamiflu, and it raised my blood sugars in the 300's while under the treatment. I even had to hike my basal up 180%.

My IV3000 is covered 100%. I have a documented latex allergy and adhesive allergy, so they cover my IV3000 or Tegaderm HP (depending on what Medtronic has in stock) 100%.

Heather, I would definitely lean more towards type 1.5/LADA. If you are finding that he is not listening, you can always "fire" him and find another endocrinologist. Having constant elevated blood sugars is not safe, nor is it healthy.

I've been pumping for so long, I can not answer that question. I'm sorry. I think I obtained my first pump... 1996ish..

I wear a CGMS and test 18-20 times a day if not wearing a CGMS - if I wear a cgms I test 12ish times. I am also an insulin pumper. Just because I am a type 1 diabetic, does not mean I need to eat low carb. It just means I need to be smarter about...

4.7 previously. Strict diet, exercise and followed my dosages to the T. Here is my thread A1C and diet I frequented lows quite a bit, my a1c right now at 5.3 is perfect.

In cold weather my insulin needs double. In hot weather my insulin needs are decreased by half. In both cases, my insulin to carb ratio and basal are affected by 50%

Thanks....as for evryone doing well, we'll have to wait...it's been an awful Fall...everyone in the family coming down with something or other...and since once it rains, it pours...it's been one thing after another, health...car...etc It's wearing me down....ah well, it's late and I'm tired...things will look better in the morning.
So, I guess I'll hit the sack, take care and good night....linda.
