Tracy,

Thanks so much! I'm really excited about talking with other folks who really "get" it! I was diagnosed with Type 1 when I was 17, and I'm now 35. As with everyone else, I'm sure, I've had my ups and downs. I'm just now starting to experience some complications (peripheral neuropathy and gastroparesis), so this site was really a godsend.

Glad to be aboard! :)

Hi! Thanks for Welcoming me! :) I have a question on what places do you where the Omnipod? How long have you used the Omnipod? I go today for some blood meter thing that is attached like the pump sorta to wear for like a week or so and it gives over 200 readings a day...Did you have to do that?

Thanks for the welcome. The Omnipod user forum convinced me to try the pod after 27 years of MDI. I start the pod with saline tomorrow.

Hi, Tracy and thanks for the welcome. I joined to obtain helpful tips and info from other diabetics. See my three year old daughter Syeda has type 1 diabetes and I have to say it's been a rough five months. I can't wait to just get past the first year! It upsets me just to think of the things that diabeties has in store for her. On the bright she's a strong trooper and I know with dediction, education and love we'll have her in har target range (which at this time she's not). A
