It's a.....

GIRL!

That's right, we found out the day before my hubby deployed that we are expecting a girl! We are so excited and I just wanted to share the good news with everyone! My boys said that it's okay as long as she's a "girl-boy" (tom boy) no problem there with 2 older brothers! I can' come up with too many names that I like, so if you have any suggestions, send them my way! Say a little prayer that this pregnancy continues to stay healthy and strong! Thanks for sharing in my joy!

Pregnancy number 4

I am truly blessed. I have had diabetes for over 23 years and have been blessed with two beautiful and perfectly healthy boys (4 and 2) As some of you may know, I miscarried on my son's 4th birthday while in my 2nd trimester. This was a terrible and traumatic experience for me, but one that I can be grateful for now as it has made me re-realize just how fragle life can be. It also helps me relate to so many other women who have experienced similar loss, and offer compassion.
I recently found out… Continue

I am no longer pregnant...update in the making

After reading my last post I have decided that it is time to update everyone. It has been a rough couple of weeks, and on my oldest son's 4th birthday I started having horrible pains during his birthday party, and subsequently was rushed to the ER only to find out that I was miscarrying at nearly 5 months. It was awful and scary and I have been having a really tough time processing all of it, but slowly am starting to come out of it and am trying to focus on my beautiful boys and count my blessi… Continue

I'm pregnant!

I haven't even told my husband yet, but I must share the news! This is a safe place to share my ups and downs of pregnancy!
So I took a test last night at home, not really expecting much as I was only one day late, and there it was as clear as day "Pregnant" (the tests now spells it out for you in case the plus or minus or two lines are too confusing!)

Then again this morning I took another test as I was not convinced...and again "pregnant". Hmm, could this really be?

I called up my doctor's o… Continue

RachelRachelRachel!!!! Congratulations. I just read about little Annabelle on Amylia's blog. That is the coolest. I'm so hapy for you, but also understand that it will be most difficult with your husband headed back out. Shoot.
I bet the boys just lover her.
All my best.

Were you on the pump before this or are you just adding CGMS? I am on a Medtronic Minimed Paradigm 722 since April. I love it. I'm glad that you seem to like it too.

Hey, guess what? I'm from Milwaukee too. Actually, I spent most of my childhood in Brown Deer (a suburb). Do you ever get back? Do you have relatives here? It would be nice to meet you if you ever did.

Take care and just pop that little one out for pete's sake!!!!
