Hi YoGI....I know that you don't celebrate Thanksgiving in India, but I wanted to send you festive wishes nonetheless, since we should truly be thankful each and every day, not only on a designated day, right?.In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving the second Monday of October...this year it's on Oct.12th! (the US celebrate theirs the 4th Thursday of November). We have family and friends over, we gather around the table, and some, such as my family, give thanks to God for His bounty...and most of us will have turkey as a main course. The roots of this celebration date back to early colonial days in Canada and the US...where most pioneers of the time were from France and England....and were thanking God for His protection and providence in their new land.
Take care....linda :)

Both of my children started out with multiple daily injections and now both are on pumps and they love them. My son who is 19 years old said he would not want to be without his pump. Pumps are expensive but we had 90% of the cost covered by our health insurance coverage. I think most pumps can be viewed on the internet and the price would depend on where you live. You would also have to consider the cost of the pump supplies each month as well. I think you should do some research on them first before you decide and see what would be best for you. I find they really make a difference with blood sugar readings as they can be set to different rates of insulin in a 24 hour period.

Good luck and take care,

Anita
