What Song Cheers You Up When Your Down?

As iam sure everyone here has had bad days dealing with Diabetes and have felt down and out, ...when i feel that way, i like to listen to 2 songs which always make me feel better, "Mr blue sky" by ELO, and "hey jude", by the beatles, if you listen closely to hey jude it has a lot of lyrics that speak to you "Take a sad song and make it better", "The minute you let her under your skin,Then you begin to make it better", "And any time you feel the pain, hey, Jude, refrain Don't carry the world upon your shoulders Well don't you know that its a fool who plays it cool"....see what i mean?

Anything by Jack Johnson cheers me up...unless I want to feel the anger, then I go with Pearl Jam.

I find FOOD,WATER, SHELER, LOVE by Adam Brand the best for if I don't have these, I can't face the day or I can"t pick up my meter and face the results of my bsl. This song helps me get through my diabetes. Adam Brand is a country singer in Australia

I just discovered your discussion, what a beautiful idea.Song and music have the power to change our moods and it is beautiful to escape from a distressing moment to a song.Arabic songs are very beautiful with different rhythm, nostalgia and romance

Cathy did 2. :D

Another song that I love, that cheers me, My Motto, I Take From Tom's Title, "Life Is A Highway". The beat, Tom's energy, the Kids scampering around, his choice of diverse but common People in his video and the message all connect for me. We are survivors.

(Yes, he needed a haircut and a new pair of jeans. :D Recession sux, eh??? )

Sorry to disturb you again but......

when I was hit with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis(another autoimune disease) and we couldn't control it for years when I was young ....this video and song that I found recently brought those memories back vividily. That is one BAD disease.

I may be the odd one here but my favorite lift up song is "Amazing Grace" when sung by Elvis Presley. No matter how bad or low I feel, when I hear this, I know that my "downs" are not as bad as someones elses.

Oh my yes, Jeff. There's a wonderful song. So many versions. I commissioned a translation of it into Esperanto, the universal language, back in 1990. It closed my dance/theater work Descendants, sung live. Very beautiful. I should dig out the text of that translation and post it......
