Event Description

The Joslin Diabetes Center at Swedish Medical Center is joining with the American Diabetes Association to host professional cyclist Monique Hanley. She will speak about her inspirational experiences as a professional cyclist living with diabetes.

Hanley was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 19 and has since built an impressive professional cycling career. She's pedaled across Canada, rode as part of Team Type 1 in their Race Across America victory in 2007, and is currently racing on the pro circuit.

This inspirational event is free and open to the public.
