Hi Rosanna!

We are a bit understaffed at this time, but we will definitely do everything within our power to reach out to deaf members and, at least, include a general description of what the video is dealing with until we are able to offer CC on them.

Take care, amiga!

Hi Rosana! I just read your post where you mentioned you are deaf.

I would love to read what you have to say about the experience in the community from the perspective of someone who cannot hear, specially the videos. Until today I had not thought of how the videos that I post may be coming across (or not) for people who are deaf.

If you prefer writing to me privately, feel free to do so. You can click on the "Send a Message" link below my photo on my profile page or send me an email at manny AT tudiabetes DOT org.

Take care, amiga.

Hey Rosa, wont the clinic help you with the necessary devices you need for checking your sugar? I would think they can..I will check around on-line for you because you may be able to get help with needed supplies..they may go by your income but let me see what i can find..

Hi, Rosana,
I eat a lot of sprouted foods. I sprout seeds, grains, peas and lentils. I have sprouted grains with nuts and almond milk for breakfast, salad with cheese and nuts for lunch and then a low carbohydrate cooked meal for dinner- meat or fish and vegetables. I eat a small amount of fruit also. This diet makes me feel very healthy and full of energy and my blood sugar stays very steady.

Thankyou Rosana:)
Welcome! Upload a favorite pic of you or something you enjoy. It will help to be able to "recognize" my new friend:)
I'm a housewife with type 2 also.

welcome rosana. I surely understand your confusion. from your post, i can tell you had a glucose tolerance test which will truly determine if you are pre-diabetic, or have type 1 or type 2. When your doctor gets the results of your glucose tolerance he can best judge to let you know what the next steps will be. i hope that helps you.
