Nope, but wish I did. Being a HS vball coach and a T1, I was cheering him on! If you talk with him, let him know he has fans at tudiabetes and should join us.

it's never too late to travel! =) that's what I tell myself all the time...I love traveling so much and just have lists of all the places I want to visit - but I think that Europe with kids is incredibly doable!

so friday afternoon and this morning I spent going from office to office trying to find someone who knew what to do with my request for a new pump and CGMS!! hopefully now I'll actually get it within a few weeks...you never realy know in italy though =) that's great to hear how happy your husband is with it though!

I love that you've moved around - a lot of people don't understand that! and now, for the first time in my life, I feel like italy is really home for me. the concept of home has always been linked to where my family is and I feel like I have really finally found my niche here - plus my husband and our very furry children are all here =) but it doesn't mean that I don't miss california very much!!!

that is a really long time! how is he doing? and have you guys always lived in the sacramento area? I really hope that you guys are able to some how get coverage for the CGMS...I should be getting mine within the next month and am so excited! I really hope it makes as much of a difference as I've heard.

that's crazy that you have friends from padova! what are they doing in sacramento? and definitely visit italy if you guys ever have a chance - it is very, very different in every sense of the word! and I haven't found any organizations that are even somewhat similar to what you see in the U.S. - diabetes is much more hidden here and seen as a problem, not as something to bring a group of people together.

I really do miss the Davis farmer's market! it was one of my favorite places to go on saturday mornings....I'm so excited to get the CGMS and am SO happy to hear positive reactions to it! how long has your husband had diabetes? and does he go to the UCDMC for care?

Hi Melissa,
Glad to see another Northern California member! I live in the Bay Area (near Concord/WC) but have family and roots in the Sacramento area..... I'm a graduate of Sac State. My niece now attends Sac State, so I'm feeling pretty old! I hope you enjoy Tu diabetes as much as I do..... it's a great place to connect with other diabetics.
