My cataract surgeries were a success!!! It has been a life changing experience for me. I don’t think I have ever seen the earth as I see it now!! The colors of this world are so bright and extra special. The smile on my face has not left me since the moment I could really see this earth about 3 weeks ago.

Cataract surgery is planned for 2 days after Christmas. They will start with my right eye and then two weeks later do my left eye. Of course, my surgery is unique and more difficult than a so called normal cataract. The type of cataract I have makes it a tricky situation. The Doctor told me that he does my type of cataract about once a year. He did not seem too worried. I do trust him!!…

This is a date I think I will remember forever. This is the date that I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I know I will remember the month and date, but I will probably forget the year.
