Hey April:

Don't mention it. I remember Diabetes being really frustrating when I didn't know how to control it or how foods affected my body or how much Insulin to take.
But I was still taking it. Would you believe I didn't
get used to taking shots for 32 years? :D Most
People are faster. That was when I used the longer needles. These short ones are nothing. Diabetes
has been easy for me for many years.

Understanding it all was my key, as for each Person.
These Forums have helped a lot also in filling in the questions we need answers for, new improvements
and Good Friends and support.. They're Great. :o)

If there is anything that you need, just ask. Thanks
again for that cool video. I like your glitter name.
Have a Good Day tomorrow April.

Hi April!

I'm glad you liked my story. I was debating with myself for a long time on posting it. I'm a pessimist by nature but I do slip into optimism. I really do believe in smiles and humor. It helps us all in the healing process.

My life is like a long soap opera. Not too much drama but a lot of nutty stories. I wish I had a dollar for every time someone said I needed help. About the time each one said that, I was like, define normal to me! Tell me do you have diabetes?! It's funny.

Thanks for commenting. I hope to add more as time goes on.

April

I wish I could tell you it gets easyer. I have had the diabetes for 38 years now, I get pretty bummbed out and overwhelmed every once in a while too. I know people on here that have had it for over 50 years, it amazes me when I find out they have had it so long and are still in good shape. I know if I have this stuff for 50 years I wont be in such good of shape. It happens, hate that it does, but it happens.

I hope things get better for you and you keep on going.

I wish you well

Welcome April! We are Happy to see you here.
Smashing video! Yes, I am! I already died once
(and I'm not talking the coma)so I've been ready
for many years. My time will come when it's my
time. Just like you.

I was immature and wasn't educated much about
Diabetes but I almost always took my shots(unless
I'd forget on occasion) because I knew I'd be Kaput
or at the Very least, lose a part of myself without
them. I mean I did want a job, a Life Partner and
Kids and a Life. It all worked out(ok, I got severe
RA which wasn't in the plans, but it just made me
stuborner to finish what I was put here for).

My sugars weren't that hot when I was younger
(I'm talking the urine test...I don't think they had
A1c's then) and I did go through a coma when
I was 18 /19 and carrying my Son(age 23)(A1c
7.3-6.5) before I had an eye problem(age 25).

Well, I learned the ropes many years ago and
there's no looking back.

You have a Wonderful Husband and a Handsome
Son.They both need you to complete their Lives.
Contrary to popular belief, Males are definitely not
Great at many things. It's the Females that keep
them up and going. :o) They need a lot of Help.

Are you ready?? You still have a Long Life to live
and a lot of stuff to do. Don't disappoint him.

Take Good Care April....We hope that you come
back!
