“Normal” blood glucose levels

I think this will be very helpful for those who suspect they may have diabetes.  I stole it from my Continuous Glucose Monitor class: Target values from the American Diabetes Association (ADA)/American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) Fasting/before-meal glucose: 90 mg/dL to 130 mg/dL (5.0 mmol/L to 7.2 mmol/L) (ADA); <110 mg/dL (6.1 mmol/L) [...]

job and A1c

Update: Family would like to keep their privacy about my nephew, thanks to my psychotic ex-step-mother (she has been disowned by the family and don’t want her knocking on the door again). Now, about me… Change.  That’s the word of the week. :)  I have been offered an awesome job where I will be working as a [...]

The rumors are true…

Maybe I should have titled this post “She is just trying to be loved…” or so that was her reasoning. I am very very sad to say that Pepe/Gina/Blake has turned out to be a fake.  Those three names ARE the same person.  Not that we can believe a word that is said anymore, my BF [...]

I was giving myself shots at least 4 times a day plus had a pretty dramatic swing in highs/lows. The pump has helped me stabilize things a bit. I'm glad it's working well for you too. I'm in the process of implementing a GGM for my treatment. What do you think of yours? ...... Thanks Sweet & Salty :)

Hey Salty! Just wondering if you've met Kimberly. I notice you're both into robots. May even be a good business contact.

Sorry to hear about your detergent. I guess you've discovered a new variant on the old "when life hands you lemons" routine. When life splatters soap all over your laundry room, make a bubble bath. ;-)

What insurance are you dealing with? Have you had an Endocronologist give Medtronics the referral? Medtronics goes through another company called Care Centrix Gentiva (Pat Team) they then go directly to the insurance company. If you call the insurance and have had the referral ask for DME Benfits and the code they need for the insulin pump is E0784. What a pain in the ass.
