Hello,
We are casting a commercial in Miami. We're looking for people who use any kind of blood sugar monitor to share their stories. They must speak Spanish. It would be wonderful if you could forward it to your contacts. Please feel free to contact us with any questions

If you can, you should come to the Children with Diabetes conference this summer... www.childrenwithdiabetes.com for more info. Cheers!

Thanks! I appreciate the warm welcome. My son was diagnosed 3 years ago and he is now 10. This is the first time I join a support group and I am looking forward to learn from others and share experiences. It is a very difficult journey, even thought I try to be positive, but I can’t avoid to feel lonely at times.

My son is not on the pump as he is in a swimming team and is in the water for about 2 hours per day. According to his Doctor, they do not have a waterproof pump or that could keep-up with his training. I believe that the pump might help him to keep a better control. But I guess I would have to wait until a new pump for swimmers becomes available.

Thanks again! Yenevin

Hi Yenevin. I just wanted to welcome you to tudiabetes. There are a lot of great things here.

I see that you joined the parents of kids with type 1 group. My son, Riley, was diagnosed when he was 3. He almost 6 now and uses an Animas pump.

Again, welcome.
