I haven't heard from you in a while and wondered how things are going. We just made it to one year since dx. Life is still frustrating and tough, but it has brought our family closer. Best Wishes.

Hi Rhonda,
I have a son, Drew who was diagnosed with type 1 just after Thanksgiving 2007. We are doing shots of novolog and levemir currently but are hoping to get him on a pump in June. We were told that he couldn't be put on a pump until he was diagnosed at least 6 months. I just hope that he will do the pump. I am unsure about the pump infusion site. Drew is such a skinny kid that he has no fat on him so we struggle now to get good shots. He will only let us give him his shots in his legs because he has nothing to pinch on his arms or tummy. It is so difficult.

It seems like we are on the same page. Thank you for your comment. This is a great site to belong too. I have learned alot. I also am looking forward to the pump, but right now with Olivia being 2 years old I'm afraid that she wouldn't leave it alone.
