On Thursday July 31st, I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy after having an MRI done to rule out a compressed nerve. I am now on Neurotin to help with the nerve pain and damage. Some days are better than others. If I have to do a lot of walking I have learned that its worse at night. I've been taking Lortab for the pain with the Neurotin plus all my other medications at night and then just Motrin 800mg or 400mg of naproxen to help during the day which does help to a point but have talked t…

Monday was our first night that my husband had to go to work the next morning. Well he didn't make it because he over sleep. Thats fine except for the fact that I didn't know he'd also be missing Thursday as well. Wednesday night he ended up driving me up to the hospital where I spent from 8:30pm to 7am in the ER where I was then transferred to ICU because I was having severe breathing problems where I couldn't catch my breathe and having palpations. I was released from the hospital on June 6th 2008 not because of diabetic complications but because I had a nervous breakdown basically and my bipolar disorder was out of control. I ended up an hour's drive away in Ogden UT. Where I first lived when I arrived in Utah. Some really bad memories t…

I have been wondering this every since I started college again. I've noticed that public places, not like grocery stores or little stores with no public restrooms, but more like universities do not offer sharps containers for their diabetic students. I attend the University of Phoenix-Salt Lake City division in Taylorsville UT. There is two campuses that I have been for the UOP's campuses, one is the main campus located in Murray UT but is called Salt Lake City because its easier to find and the…
