Rebecca,
Three months after our youngest son was born I had a sinus infection. I didn't seek medical attention because I had only had insurance to cover the prenatal care and delivery. I lost a huge amount of weight, was dying of thirst and peeing all the time. I checked my BG and it was 350. The next day it was 450 and I knew I'd better get to the doctor. He immediately told me I had type 1 DM and would be on insulin the rest of my life. I was so angry that I had DM 1 but I was glad that the doctor made the correct diagnosis right away.
Rebecca,
I was diagnosed with type 1 DM when I was 34 years old right after having gestational diabetes. Do you have any of the same pre-determining factors as I did? Just curious. I have had my MM pump for five years and it has made such a huge difference. Hope each day gets better and better for you!
I almost made it my home a few years ago. I was once engaged to a businessman who made McKinney his home. I travelled there for a few days in spring of 2001. I just felt like it felt like "home".
Rebecca,
My CDE told app 72 hrs. I go 3 1/2 to 4 days on mine just when I get the low res. alarm. How is it going? Do youhave to go in for follow up training?
my fbg yesterday was 106 and today it's 84. Not sure why. I'm so used to the Levimir saving me from my Dawn Phenomenon that I'm shocked that it's really working as well as it is. I have one question though. I know I'm supposed to change out my site every 3rd day. Is that one the 3rd day or after the 3rd full day, like really the 4th day, so 3 full days? I'm confused about that. So I got it one Monday, what day to I change the site? Anyone - please help here???
