I am so tired. It's not that I can't sleep or have problems falling or staying asleep. It's that my 3 year old keeps waking me up! She has basically slept through the night since she was about 4 months old. Since she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in April I have maybe slept through the night maybe 6 times. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I am Lisa and I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful children. My oldest is 3 and she was diagnosed with Type 1 at the beginning of April.
We are slowly getting into a routine and have finally gotten over the worst of it (I hope!!!). I'm so glad to find this network.

Reed is on a pump (since July) and doing much better than he did on shots.
How is Isabelle doing?

How are you all holding up? It's amazing what a different lifestyle it is, but how it becomes second nature in many ways, too.

I read your comment on Travis's page. My two-year-old daughter was diagnosed in February. I have to fight her to get her shots in her and some days it is so hard. I hope things continue to get easier for you and your little girl.

I read the story you posted on your blog about milkshakes. You may want to try giving your daughter this drink:

While not the same as the "real" thing, it really tastes great and most children love it.
I'm curious what you're using with your daughter. What type of meter? Also have you found out about the BD lancets that are 33 gauge, they're the least painful that I've found to date.
