Hi Terrie, have you tryed ALA? My Diebetic Dr. asked me that, I hadn't but i went to my health food store and asked there. he had a paper on it. it takes the paine out of your legs and feet. Takes about 30 days to work. it worked for me.

When I turned 40 though I wanted another because my kids were growong up. Oh well to late yhen at 43 my daudhter had my granddaughter! It's great! She's the first grandkid on either side of her family so needless to say she's so rotten that all the salt in all the oceans souldn't save her! HA!

Hi Terrie,
I must be having a better day today. I'm really sorry about the other day but both you and Becky caught me in one of my moods. The ppl around here caught it too, sorry for them. I have a nine month old granddaughter who had wore me down. God for an ounce of that energy....... I heard my mom say that about my kids and now I know what she meant! HA! I know your proun of your 3 kids. I'm really proud of my 2 girls. One is already a CNA and has my granddaughter and my other one graduates next year. She really don't know what she's gonna do after she gets out of school. She thinks her boyfriend will do it for her I guess. Kids what can you say?

Hey Terri!
I have mixed feelings about the pump but let me tell you that I am mostly grateful for it! I get tired of being attached to it. I must be honest about that. I was afraid that my husband was going to be kind of freaked out by it. Now, it's like it's not even there. He couldn't care less! Hah!

Most importantly, the pump has given me freedoms that I did not have before. I eat when I want and what I want (within reason). If I want a slice of birthday cake, I simply bolus (program insulin) for it. If I have to miss a meal for some reason, I do NOT have to have an insulin reaction and can prepare myself for it by manipulating the pump. I do not have to take ANY shots because I am attached to the pump which takes care of everything for me. It also helps me better my blood sugars in a way that is safe and reliable. I feel more in control of my life because of it.

I can honestly say that the pump has changed my life. I can also say that I love taking the (**#@!! thing off when I take a shower. LOL Sometimes it's best to be freeeeee... if only for 10-15 minutes.
