About Me

I've been a lot of things (librarian, webmaster, cataloger, document control specialist, publishing assistant, system administrator, English major, medievalist and Anglo-Saxonist, headshop manager, lab assistant, safer sex educator, and gravedigger), and am a lot of things (married, leftist, vegetarian, geeky, overanalysing, disabled, activist, pedant and hypocritical label-hater that lives in a misanthropic intentional community)...most recently diabetic.

I've studied LIS, archival preservation, English literature, Old English, Anglo-Saxon history, Asian American Studies, Native American Studies, American Ethnic Studies, classics, psychology, math, and computer science. I speak Spanish and I've studied Japanese, German, Mandarin, and Latin. I still want to learn Cantonese, Hebrew, Norwegian, Russian, and Ancient Greek, but at this rate I'll never get around to it. They kept telling me to specialize. I think the problem was that I specialized too much.

It occurs to me now I should have called my blog "Living La Vida LADA."

Thanks for the pics. I am going to go with the bigger pump, in hopes of a pregnancy in the future. Since I will have this pump for the next 4 years or so, I figure it makes sense.

Hi Lili. Funny you mention "Livin La Vida LADA". I actually go to church with Jimmy Moore, the blogger and author of "Livin La Vida Low Carb". Interesting. Thanks for joing my group for vegetarians. We seem to have a lot in common. I too am LADA.

Tell me more about yourself if you wish. I know that we're We're all struggling with different issues.

Thanks, Lili! I don't understand this system yet, and I think I made my comment in the wrong place.

Hi! I saw you on the US - West group and thought I'd befriend some fellow Washington(ers? ians?). I live down in Vancouver (the suburb of Portland) but really want to head up to Seattle soon. I actually keep a place in Salt Lake City, too, so we have that in common.

5.3 ... congratulations! Now that I have my CGMS I'm hoping to get under 6 next time...

Hi, Lili. We'll be down in Seattle on Saturday visiting Daniel's aunt and some friends at the arab fest... and we (traffic permitting) have an hour or so around 4 that's free, if you'd like to grab a coffee or something. We'll also be down next Friday or Saturday to visit Daniel's cousin, and will have lots of free time then, if that's better. Anyways, it'd be great to say hi in person sometime! Just let us know if you're free any of those times. :)
