I have set a date, time and place for a Tennessee gathering. Check out the events page for October 11th, or see the Tenn Diabetics group for more information.

Hey! I sent out a message to the TN Diabetics group, but I am trying to let you all know individually too. I am trying to see if people would be interested in a picnic/gathering/get together sometime between now and early fall. It would probably by mid-state. If you think you might be interested, let me know.

Hi Meredith! I saw your message on my discussion about Faith and Diabetes. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you; I just read it.

I hope things are going well for you and Reed. For us it is always up and down. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am always around if you want to chat.

Hi Meridith. Thank you for adding us to your friends list. My son was diagnosed 3 years ago--he's talking about the pump now. He goes to Diabetes Camp in 2 weeks. I'm sure we will be talking to his Endo about it once he gets back from camp. Brandon is excited about the summer as well. This is our first week out of school. I can't believe he will be in the fourth grade come fall. WOW--they grow up fast. I'd love to chat with you anytime--I get so much support and good info from tudiabetes members. Take care--Tammy and Brandon--Byron, Georgia

Hi, Meridith! Thanks for inviting me to be a friend! I am Larra. My son was diagnosed @ 15 months of age and is now almost 38 y/o. Times were VERY hard when he was little. Up and down blood sugars....blood sugar meters were not out yet. Had to squeeze out diapers to get urine to test in a little test tube! then the glucometer came out & our life changed drastically...it was a dream come true. Now he uses the insulin pump and we are so very grateful for all of the technology available! Having a little person with diabetes is not easy even with all of the current technology. He looks like a real sweetheart! My heart is with you and so are my prayers. Larra Miner, Rapid City, SD

Hello Meredith!, well congratulate your kid for using the pump!, this was not available when I was diagnosed a looong time ago. Now I am using one and this is the greatest think, even that, I check up my sugar more than 10 times per day, because the continuos glucose monitor is not available with my insurance, I am waiting on that.
Congrats you also for talking care of that beautiful kid!!!, regards Aida.
