Hello Laina! I have had type I diabetes for 11 years and for 5 of those years I was on an insulin pump. The transition feels different at first, but if you study your pump manual (the instructional videos will bore you to tears or put you to sleep! LOL) and follow your doctors advice (and don't be afraid to speak up if you don't agree with some of the insulin amounts they advise - it's your body) you will get the hang of it in no time. I used a pump from Medtronic Minimed. They are based in California, and were always on hand if I needed to call them with a question. Ordering supplies through them is easy, and their pumps use AAA batteries, so you can get those easily! I hope that this was somewhat helpful! Best of luck to you!

I hope your week off has been nice and relaxing! The school district I'm subbing in has next week off for winter break... Your profile says you were looking for pump info. Are you planning on going on one soon? Or still trying to make the decision whether or not you want to make the switch? I've been pumping for five years and love it.
